THE SOUND MOVEMENT
Single Launch for "Modern Condition"

By Katie Spain
Put down your pens, step back from the keyboard and prepare to eradicate a brain cell or two. THE WEEKEND IS HERE!
I know you've all had far too many mince pies, the waist lines are approaching the danger zone and the words 'Christmas Party' bring back memories of dodgy canapes and a cheap wine hangover. But, there's one more party you need to go to and it's happening tonight in central London.
London based band The Sound Movement are throwing an Xmas Party at the 12 Bar near Tottenham Court Road. It'll involve (and I quote) "The Sound Movement plus supports for a night of drinks, friends new & old, laughs & silliness".
The band are a mix of Aussies Kat (bass) and Andy (vocals) and Graham (drummer) and have
a dreamy, dark and melodic sound... or, in Music Week UK's terms "A wonderful mix of early Bunnymen meets Ride coupled with a dash of The Church". Have to say, I agree with the journos.
The Sound Movement: Onstage 10.30pm
Also watch out for... Amphibic, Scott Moods and The Sleeping Years
I'll be there with bells on... minus the Santa Suit and stupid party hat but if the urge is there, don't let me put you off...
Oh, it'll only cost you 5 squid - which is less than a burger these days.
If you can't make it, see them on:
The Water Rats Theatre (Club Night) Kings Cross, London - 27 Jan
