Lunchtime freebie

This one's for the culture buffs so if heavy metal mayhem rocks your boat look away now.
Fancy a Christmas freebie? What about an extended lunch break? Ask your boss nicely or bribe them with mince pies because there's a lunchtime gig coming up and it'll cost you nowt.
The 20th December marks the spot for all free-loaders and poverty stricken music lovers to converge on The Union Chapel. Watch out though - it's a bit of a culture packed lunch break.
Kick back and lap up the sounds of 'Squal' - Laura Reid on cello (who plays for Kathryn Williams) and Owen Green on laptop. You can also catch Michael Bonaventure, a contemporary organist with a following on BBC Radio 3 and throughout the rest of the UK and US.
The woman behind the event, Anne Garner will also play (accompanied by Jim Murray on guitar and bass). Anne is a classically trained pianist, flautist and vocalist who decided to become a singer/songwriter after performing a piece she wrote for her mother at her funeral. Since then she's toured in Europe with the Screaming Trees, supported Cabaret Voltaire, the Shamen and the Orb. She performed at the Boom Festival in Portugal, at four Big Chill Festivals with Animat, and this year played the London Fashion Week after party at the Royal Horticultural Hall and the regeneration charity exhibition at London's County Hall.
So, free and it's good music... it ain't brain science folks. Get your rears down there. Take your boss with you - tell them there's mulled wine and mince pies done there too. No, really.
