Congratulations to the winners of the Wolfmother tickets.
We couldn't resist the childhood moshpit memories stirred up by Ludwig Long's Lost Prophets tale. You really can't beat 'band' battle wounds:
My most memorable was when I was about 16, Lost Prophets @ Hammersmith Palais, was awesome, tiny venue with only a few hundred people. Got battered in my first mosh pit and went crowd surfing, my first attempt saw me falling straight to the floor when everyone stepped aside instead of catching me but I got back up and did it again, good times :-)
Kate E also hit a nerve with her tales of university days back in her homeland - Australia. Uni students actually doing any work? Whatever...
Hmm!!?? By far Hilltops at Adelaide Uni at 5:30 in the morning!. They were doing an appearance for Adam& Wills Triple J Brekky show. Me and my friends got there at 5am loaded with a bag of goon(fruity lexia- only the best!!!) along with a few hundred other people. Once we finished the bag we used it for a pillow whilst listening to our fav hilltops tracks, Finished just in time for our first class of the day! The most memorable gig yet!!
Enjoy the gig at the Hammersmith Apollo tonight guys... maybe we'll see you there. Keep an eye on the Backstage Pass blog for pics, reviews and some backstage banter. Yep, our little roving reporter Katie has weazled her way backstage for the sound check. Little people have all the luck...
