Albarn, Eno, Massive Attack For Greenpeace Trident Protest Gig
Who needs a normal jam-packed venue when you can see your favourite musicians on the open sea? Okay... so it's the River Thames but you get our drift. There's a special concert on The Greenpeace Arctic Sunrise boat tonight - for the campaign against the Governments proposed Trident Nuclear renewal.
Wrap your eardrums around this:
The Sense of Sound choir will perform a piece composed by Blur/Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn. The 5 Minutes to Midnight performance is directed by Hannah Eidinow with visuals designed by Robert del Naja of Massive Attack. It also includes contributions from Brian Eno.
The event is planned to start at 6.30pm at Shad Thames, Southbank, SE1 - your best bet is to head towards Tower Bridge. It will be broadcast live on the internet from 7.00pm on www.greenpeace.org.uk then archive to watch again for another 24 hours.
All aboard 'me hearties'!
