RACHAEL GOLDING : The Real Me : Swagbag Records
Review by Peter Coulston
Hailing from the same stable as Nicola K, Rachael Golding is another newcomer with a bright future. Her album The Real Me is a well produced mixture of fine songs in a variety of styles. It Aint Me is a good, standard rocker while Summertime takes us into a jazzy/blues mode. The title track is a soulful ballad with some nicely understated guitar and Theres So Much More takes us back down the road to hard rock with a funky hook. Believe is a well produced ballad which, like all that went before, shows off Rachaels fine vocals. She has excellent control, which gives her the ability to excel in more than one genre, and she also co-wrote all the material. This label is into some fine stuff at the moment and you can access it on swagbag.biz.
