It's been a big week in the world of gigs... The Spice Girls have announced their return to Pop world. The term "Wannabe" springs to mind. Imagine the dressing room requests for that lot - lettuce leaves and baby bottles these days. I'm keen to see whether they don the old platform heels and spandex Union Jacks. No doubt the concerts will sell out pronto; and we'll see nothing but Spice all over the daily rags. Right, I guess the tabloids need more Posh on their pages. Sigh.
Paris Hilton is out of gaol... which probably means a book or four and a few cameo concerts (milk it lady). I wonder if she's heard that Mean Girls (the musical) is hitting the West End. With her recent bout of 'experience' she'd be make a perfect on stage inmate.
Kaiser Chiefs are touring throughout November and December... after their performance at Glastonbury they too should 'milk it for all it's worth'. While Glasto sounded fun, it looked like a mud-soaked misery. I chatted to some guys yesterday who battled the elements as rubbish collectors - sounds harsh but in reality they fared better than most. More food than they could eat (dining with Emily Eavis) and front row vantage points for the likes of The Killers.
According to the lads, even mud trudging in torrential rain is now looked back on fondly as "The best Glastonbury memory of them all". Aw...
My pick of the day is Crowded House. I grew up with the sound of the guys belting out of my mum's stereo system - "Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you" la la la.
If she played Crowded House she was in a good mood, Rod Stewart meant she was meloncholie and Neil Young meant she'd been arguing with my dad. You've just got to love music memories.
Let's hope the media works out whether Neil Finn and his sidekicks are Aussies or New Zealanders. None of them live in either country... so what the hell, lets throw America into the mix too.
The weekend is set to be a big un. The Gay Pride Parade hits the West End tomorrow featuring none other than Darren Hayes live at Trafalgar Square (3.15pm). Dont know him? Understandable hes the former brunette crooner from Aussie band Savage Garden. From Oz to gay icon its enough to make Kylie jealous.
The concert and other entertainment are free. Be there. Don't forget your feather boa.

How do you expect your true fans to be able to afford £275? Just like Maddona you have no regard for your true fans. I took my daughter and her friend to see you perform at Wembley Stadium, however she is going to be very dissapointed to hear that I can't afford one ticket this time round (never mind three!).
Your prices are disgraceful and encourage ticket racketeering. The black market is going to make a packet, but only the rich will be in pocket (because they will be the only ones who can afford to go to the gig) If they are not at the gig they will be in profit from selling tickets on!
Your plain greedy!!!

i think the spice girls are an amazing band but $400 for a concert ticket in the nose bleed section is a bit absurd! i love them to death but afterall we, the fans, are the people who really make the spice girls famouse! after all without us buying their records, cds, and movies they wouldnt be so famouse after all!

I really was so excited when i heard that the spice girls were getting back on the road, my first disappointment was only one gig in the UK :( but i thought never mind ill make the trip to london from nottinghamshire but then disappointment 2) the price! ive just left college and cant afford the ticket price, i went to sheffield to see them just as geri left so it would have been a dream to see all 5!! never mind ill have to keep on singing along to the radio!!

What, you can't afford £55 quid to go see the Spice Girls? Which for the planned scale of the concert is pretty cheap.. apparently the stage et all is going to be amazing. Just like with madonna you get what you pay for!

I love the fact they they are doing 1 last tour !! I also think that the spice girls will never b past their sell by date as they dont have 1 !! as i little girl i grew up with the spice girls and i can tell you that every girl in my era at some time danced around their bed room 2 the spice girls songs and i cannot w8 2 see them in london! The tickets iv baught are only £62 and thats with a £7 boking fee !! the prices every 1 is mentioning on here are the prices people are flogging their tickets at 2 make a profit !! Although some people may not want 2 c the girls there are loads that do and im proud 2 b one of them x x x

To me the spice girls package has always been about good marketing but never about talent or charisma (they can't sing or dance on their own, let alone together).Once again the price for their concert is down to good marketing.

So unhappy now :( Used to be the biggest Spice Girls' fan in the whole Lithuania for many many years, and my biggest dream was to see them live - would have gone to Estonia those days!! But mum never let me as I was under 18 and she thought it was too risky :/ And now - hey, hey! - a Spice Girls' reunion! And - oh my God! - I do actually happen to live in the UK, so ... why would I not go to see the gig and make my childhood dream come true?? Because I simply can't afford to buy a ticket :( Hell yes, life is unfair :(

From the age of 9 till this day i hae always thought of the 'spices girls' getting back to do a come back. Me n ma mates were all up for coming to watch our childhood idols preform. As we never got to see em wen we was younger! now there back and doing at tour its AMAZING!!! so happy. looking at that picture tho they are themselfs there not the spice girls we all know and love. missing who they are. there image has gone. there prices have grown! but there nothing today n they expect ppl to pay that!! Sort out the prices then maybe they will have there truest fan screaming at them to sign another song. Until then its just ppl that can afford it n say '' Yer i was there ''!

I am the worlds biggest fan of the spice girls [especially melanie c]. people have got to remember that its not the girls that put the prices on the tickets and its not just the girls that are getting paid!! there's the band, the dancers, the management team and everyone else involved including the price of the arenas that the concerts are being held at!!!! so u see they are far from greedy!! Anyway girls i have front row seats to the december 18th gig and i cant tell u how excited i am to come and see you love u all, xxxxxxx c u soon xxx

I wanted to see the Spice's and bought 2 tickets for my friend and I now she doesn't want to go cos of the travel to London etc (we live in Glasgow) and i can't sell them. I am not being greedy like people have suggested others are, I only want to cover my cost to advertise here and the booking fee on top of the £75 ticket. Some people do have genuine reasons and just want to break even! So if anyone wants to go on the 11th Jan I have tickets on this site, I'll even sell them at a loss I guess if i have to unless someone wants to come with me!?

Spice girls, about time you realized your all old mums. Do your bodies and youre partners a favour and pack it in. There are many more people out there with more talent, getting less money than you.Just shows what the world has come to making people like you so rich.

The spice girls are great, we have always been their biggest fan and we can't wait to see them perform together again. Every time you're songs came on air we would always higher the volume up to get everyone dancing to it. We are also a biggest fan of Melanie C so we know it's just going to be fab!
See ya XX

I love the Spice girls. And me and my sister have been waiting for this day to come. but theres one slight problem.... we cant pay 250 for the concert. let alone that the seats are at the very back. The amount for a good seat in the front- like 700 dollars and 2 of those would cost 1400 dollars. so i guess for all those people who have paid 50 dollars for a seat and wont tell us people who really want to go. i guess we wont ever get to see a concert of the spice girls ever. seeing as its there last one. ohh well for all those people who wouldnt tell us. you are soo mean.
