Backstage Pass: Music fans unite... take a sneak peek at what goes on beyond the mosh pit.

News: Vodafone Live Music Awards

The Vodafone Live Music Awards take place on September 19th. The current line up includes international superstars such as CSS + 50 Cent + Enrique Iglesias and England’s finest Kate Nash + Manic Street Preachers + Calvin Harris + Athlete + The Enemy + Stereophonics. That sure is a lot of plus action.

We're excited... not just by the prospect of a fresh new round of outfit spotting and celebrity guests, but by the live acts and acceptance speeches. Will Kate Nash do a 'Kanye' and bring out a drove of sparkling spunks? We doubt it... but there's no doubt there will be surprises - and a lot to talk about on Thursday morning. Here's a few of the performers guests can expect to see on the night:

KATENASH.jpgKate Nash:

This year’s hottest female phenomenon has swept the music industry off their feet. Ms Nash has been likened to Lily Allen but has far more grace than Ms Gobby and should be on par with the likes of Regina Spektor and Tori Amos…maybe even a PJ Harvey in the making? Kate Nash sings, talks and rants about boys and various other issues. If her hit single 'Foundations' is anything to go by, Kate is going to be cracking out hit after hit for a while!

manics.jpgThe Manic Street Preachers:

These guys were probably signing record deals before Kate Nash was born. Although they've been around for a while, they have not lost the edge that first made them a success. From legendary albums like 'The Holy Bible' and 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours', the Manics have been through various punk stages and have come out the other end as a Rock band.

css.jpgCSS:

The Brazilian stars recently exploded on to the music scene with a synthed up disco track called 'Lets Make Love'. They are a fun, charismatic band that churns out funky songs embedded with colour and an intoxicating energy. CSS make music to dance, prance and sweat to – what more could you ask for?

CALVINHARRIS.jpgCalvin Harris:

This little gem shot to success with his single 'Acceptable In The 80’s'. Harris is an electro indie ensemble that floods a dance floor and gets everyone bobbing about in way which literally should only be acceptable 'back in the day'.

Stay tuned for Seatwave’s next instalment on the Vodafone Live Music Awards for more info on all the other artists as we dig deep to find out what really goes on behind the scenes.
