Got a question for Craig David?

craig-HOTfeatureT.jpgThere's no doubt about Craig David, he knows how to make the ladies swoon. Hell, they'd drool if it wasn't so messy. The British singer recently collaborated with UK Rapper Kano on his upcoming album London Town for the single This Is The Girl. The single was released on August 27, 2007 and debuted at #18 in the UK Charts.

Craig's new single, Hot Stuff will be released 5th November 2007 and is the first single from the upcoming album Trust Me which is available to buy on 12 November 2007. we're getting in on the action (oh my) with a pre-release interview. To mix things up a bit, we want to give you the chance to send in some question.

What would you say if you were faced with Craig David? Do you have a burning question for the David-meister? Post your questions in the comments section. We'll get the best ones answered.

First off, I love the new songs I've heard so far and I'm so excited about your new album! I'm sure a lot of your U.S. fans would like to know this...what are the chances you'll ever come back to America on tour?

1. What is the status of the three tracks - "Girls Around The World", "Whatever You Want" (in assumption that this is the song's name) and above of all "Smoothed Out"? 2. Does the interview with NE-YO and the rumores that he'll write you some songs might mean we'll have some surprise when album will come out? 3. How would you describe the working on the album in Kuba? 4. Try to recommend me buy the album.

Craig, what inspired you to go to Cuba to record parts of your new album, and how does the experience compare to some of the other places you've recorded music?

Craig.. There's a song you worked on with "The Underdogs". We heard a snippet in a video on their website and it has a Garage vibe to it. Will you ever release that song on an album? or at least as a B-side including the song "Girls Around The World"?

Mr D, hope you're well. "The Story Goes..." seems a very expressive album, are there certain tracks on the album you just had to get out there and out of your system, so that you could move on and try something new like we're hearing now with "Trust Me"? Nick

with some of the songs you have written i really relate to the lyrics. i was going through a particularly hard time and your music helped to pull me through that period. how does it feel to be able to create music so powerful that is can have this kind of effect on people?

Hello Craig. It's very good to see you back on the music scene! Here's a couple of questions for you: 1.As a songwriter there's probably many songs you like, what is THE existing song (from another artist) you wish you had written the lyrics of? 2.What is your favourite song of your new album 'Trust Me'? 3.Out of all the remixes you've done of your songs, which one is your favourite?

If there was no pressure to live up to your previous success and no management involvement do you think that the new album “trust me” would be any different? and if so what would the differences be?

Are you releasing "Trust Me" in the US? What is the story behind your new "Hot Stuff" music video?
Posted on October 11, 2007 12:38 AM

Hey Craig. From the songs I have heard, not only have you experimented with fresh sounds but I think lyrically, it is as clever as ever. Jus' wondering, when you are writing, what inspires you to come up with a specific lyric, word or metaphor? Is it things and words you see around you? Finally, please come back to Australia!!!

I'm sure you know by now there's been some positive and a lot of negative feedback on the "Hot Stuff" video. If you had a chance to re-make the video would you do anything differently?

First of all... hey Craigy! Long time no see! Just wanted to ask you a few curly ones.. so sit back and prepare yourself. 1. The video for "Hot Stuff". What the hell is the theme? You got girls in bunny heads a tiger cub and wack dancers doing hammer moves.. where were your hammer pants and why weren't you doing the "typewriter" move? 2. The HOUSE topic on your forum... Do you read it? And if so, what are you thinking when you do? BTW.. if you need some house cleaners.. you know where to holla! LOL 3. Are you coming back to Australia anytime soon (hopefully to my beautiful city: BRISBANE) cos we miss you terribly. We've also been stockpiling items for your next gift basket.. so bring a bigger bag. Or you could borrow one of mine. HA HA. 4. The remixes for the single releases.. will they be the normal run of the mill stuff that EVERYONE does (eg: TSG remixes) .. or will you be putting a lil more effort into them and creating a whole new song virtually (eg: BTDI remixes)? And in closing, I just want to let you know that I was pleasantly surprised by the songs on the new album. I can't decide which is my favourite cos they all are. *smacks you on the bum* Good work Craigy-boy!!! See you soon! Hugs from me 2 u. Oh and stop teasing us with your mic!!!!!! xo Chaa

The songs you wrote for Kano are very great. Fightin the nation is amazing and it'd be awesome to hear you perform it. Bad Boy is wicked with that jamaican/raggae vibe. Is there any chance that Kano will appear on the next tour with you? Are you thinking of writing lyrics for some other artists too? PS:Unfortunetaly you didn't come in Belgium on the TSG tour. Please don't forget us again because we've really been missing you!

Craig, I just want to let you know that I am a loyal fan and absolutely LOVE your songs. They soothe me and pick me up. I played 'Unbelievable" for my wedding and it was beautiful. Everyone is dying to know why you don't make more albums and why in the world you wouldn't come to the US! What is holding you back from touring because you have more loyal fans here that would hop on a plane in a heartbeat to go to your concerts than anywhere else!

Hi Craig. I travelled from Spain to see you in Bristol last year, and now I will do it again to London (to the LAST show at Ronnie's). My question is... During a concert, do you manage to get eye contact with some of the people there? If so, how do you feel? Do you sense the energy? I wish I could say as many things as I want with just a look next Friday! LOL! Best of luck with the new album (I'm lovin' it)!
