'Well Well Well Well.'
Out October 8th 2007 on Ltd 7" vinyl & digital download
Detroit youngsters The Satin Peaches release their first single Well Well Well Well this October to coincide with their appearance on the NME Freshers Tour 2007.
With influences ranging from the all out rock n roll assault of The Velvet Underground to the melodic gold of Bends-era Radiohead, this group of improbably young friends are already a massively exciting prospect.
Well Well Well Well opens with pounding minor key piano reminiscent of the Kinks before being torn apart by Ryan Wieses fuzz-pop guitar riff and frontman George Morris vocals. Georges almost half-whispered chorus is both celebratory and intimate a classic hook destined to lodge in your head.
With its bass heavy, picked acoustic guitar and echo chamber harmonies, B-side Nothing we can do gently nods to Elliot Smiths knack of penning 3 minute songs that are resoundingly beautiful whilst retaining a sinister edge.
The hotly tipped four-piece will be rotating as opening act on the NME Freshers Tour with Operator Please in support of The Go! Team. Live, The Satin Peaches are blessed with a rhythm section of juggernaut power and clock work timing these dates are not to be missed.
