BEN'S BROTHERr
Beta Males Fairytales
Having written songs for the likes of Will Young and Natalie Imbruglia it was only a matter of time before lead singer Jamie Hartman formed his band Bens Brother and started releasing his own work.
With a voice distinctly reminiscent of a young Rod Stewart, youll find yourself playing catchy tracks like RISE and LET ME OUT over and over again. Other highlights include the mellow I AM WHO I AM.
Their debut album, Beat Males Fairytales is a great CD to chill out to think lazy Sunday mornings and youve got it.

THE TOY GUNS
Nice One Jerry/Shoot The Boy
Regal Records
I reviewed this band recently when they played The Fly on New Oxford Street, and was impressed by their sound and their energy. This double sided single, which is made to look like a 45rpm disc, is a good example of how they combine punk and ska in a most enjoyable way. Both songs start out as pure punk but the ska rhythms are cleverly introduced and the whole thing works well; and in both cases they are tight and professionally produced. If this is your kind of music, check them out on this single and live whenever possible.
