COMPETITION: Win two Mos Def tickets.

Mos Def, revered as one of Brooklyn's finest musical talents, is coming to London for the first time in many years to give hip-hop fans a special treat. Mos Def is in high demand in the UK as his sold-out gig at Shepherds Bush Empire showed. If you lost out on the chance to catch Mos Def in action, then fear not – he has added another date to his Universal Magnetics Tour on Sunday 25th November.

Mos Def is always one to watch and this is the UK's chance to check him out. Mos started his storied career in the nineties with the New York-based Native Tongue Posse. Tied to the Universal Zulu Nation, the crew included the Jungle Brothers, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest, and were known for their jazzy beats and Afro centric lyrical styling’s. Mos then pioneered a massive underground Hip-Hop explosion as one half of Black Star alongside Talib Kweli, going on to a successful solo turn that saw the release of three well-received albums.

In addition to his critically acclaimed work on stage and screen (Monster's Ball, Italian Job, Brown Sugar, Def Poetry, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy et al), not to mention political arenas, this Renaissance man has defined his place in both Hip-Hop and the world at large, talking loud, and saying a great deal.

There’s been a recent buzz circulating over Mos Def's recent signing to Downtown Records (home of Gnarls Barkley), and he has just put the finishing touches on a new Spank Rock remix for the French duo Justice.

We have two tickets for the Mos Def show at Islington Academy. Support will be from: Vadim & Yarah, plus special DJ guests. All you need to do is answer a simple question and the tickets could be yours.

What is Mos Def’s real name? Is it:

A) Mos Def
B) Dante Terrell Smith
C) Daniel Terrell Smith.
