Backstage Pass: Music fans unite... take a sneak peek at what goes on beyond the mosh pit.

COMPETITION: Win the St Trinian’s Soundtrack.

St-Trinians-Packshot.jpg

St Trinian’s, the infamous school for ‘young ladies’ is once again facing dire financial crisis. The bank are threatening headmistress Camilla Fritton with closure. Her unorthodox doctrine of free expression and self empowerment is also under threat from new Education Minister Geoffrey Thwaits, an old flame of Camilla’s who is determined to bring discipline and order to the anarchic school.

In true St Trinian style the girls are in a league of their own; smart, fearless and determined to defend the school they love to the end. They need to unite the warring girl gang cliques and come up with the cash fast to save the school.

In keeping with the film, the ‘St Trinian’s Soundtrack’ is just as feisty and entertaining. Girls Aloud, who have a cameo in the film have recorded two tracks which are exclusive to this album. ‘Theme To St Trinian’s’ is a romping anthem for school girls up and down the country while ‘On My Way To Satisfaction’ is an unmistakable dose of Girls Aloud’s unique blend of raucous pop.

Having already recorded songs for previous soundtracks, Rupert Everett (Camilla Fritton) rises to the challenge again taking Colin Firth (Geoffrey Thwaits) under his wing for a hilarious in-character duet of ‘Love Is In The Air’.

The St Trinian’s soundtrack, released on December 10th and is packed full of highlights including Remi Nicole’s exclusive recording of the Undertones ‘Teenage Kicks’, Sugababes catchy ‘3 Spoons Of Suga’ taken from their recent album and Marc Ronson/Lilly Allen’s cover of Kaiser Chiefs’ classic hit ‘Oh My God’. The St Trinian girls themselves have also contributed to the soundtrack with a cover of Shampoo’s hit single ‘Trouble’.

Check out the track listing. It's a corker of an album.
