BRIT AWARDS: Nominations

batforlashes.jpgThere's no doubt about it; 2007 was the year of the comeback. But are the resurrected masses worthy of a Brit Award? At last night's nomination party, Take That proved they are. The band is nominated for four gongs, as are Mika and Leona Lewis.

The announcements were made at the Roundhouse in Camden, and Kate Nash, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Mark Ronson also did well with three nominations each. The crowd cheered in auto-cued excitement when the Editors, The Hoosiers, newcomer Adele, and Bat For Lashes took to the stage. A taste of things to come perhaps, for the London-based Brit Awards on 20 February.

The night was hosted by Kelly Osbourne and Reggie Yates. Kelly's parents Sharon and Ozzy will host the main event. Something tells us it is going to be an amusing night of musical madness.
