COMPETITION: Win Two Bjork Tickets

bjork2.jpg

Bjork Competition.

14th April – Hammersmith Apollo

Keep a close eye out in 2008 for future Seatwave competitions. We have some very special gigs to share with you; not wanting to boast but, to name a few, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen all spring to mind. Oh, not to forget Pop classics such as Girls Aloud, Boyzone and Backstreet Boys.

To kick start the year, we have two Bjork tickets up for grabs for her sold-out gig at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Bjork will commence her world tour on January 18th in New Zealand and will hitting the UK in April.

The incredible and eccentric singer/song-writer has unleashed eleven solo albums since her debut in 1993. They are all crammed with beautiful melodies, crashing instrumentals and quirky, varying vocals. Her most recent EP, Declare Independence, was released in 2008.

Bjork is magnetic; she allures fans to her music like an animal prying on its prey. Her music threatens contemporary music. Her sound challenges fellow female or solo artists to struggle in a battle that has so obviously been won.

She glides through musical genres, picking and choosing the bits she likes best, like an excited child in a sweet shop. Once the sweets are selected, she mixes them together to create a tasty fusion of Ambient, Electro, Rock and Jazz, all of which are peppered with a little Trip-Hop.

For your chance to win two tickets to see the amazing Bjork live in London at the Hammersmith Apollo on 14th April, please tell us which three gigs you are looking forward to and why in 2008.

Please leave your comments below. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.

I am most looking forward to Kylie; because I would give my left foot to see her once, just once. Bruce Springsteen; because he is legend, one of the only men that gets me smouldering, and Bat for Lashes; because she's a goddess.

I'm really looking forward to The Cure, Radiohead and the Smashing Pumpkins. Although I have heard from a couple of friends that the reformed Pumpkins really aren't that good, I have to hear it with my own ears to believe it.

Even though I don't have a ticket yet, I am looking forward to seeing Bjork. Come April I will beg steal or borrow to get in, but for now, I'll try this. I'm also looking forward to R.E.M, who will doubtless be Accelerating back to these shores come the fall. And Sufjan. Dear Sufjan Stevens. He MUST come back to us later in the year, surely, with a new State of affairs to keep us enraptured, and possibly even some new wings to soar under.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Queens of the Stone Age in January, cos I'll be going with my best friend and reliving old memories of seeing them at Brixton a while ago. I'm also looking forward to seeing the Almighty at Nottingham Rock city, a chance for a rocking night out with friends followed by the club night after. A few days later I can't wait to see legend Henry Rollins on the Spoken Word tour at the Wolverhampton Civic, as I've heard it's an excellent night and something quite different.

I would love to see Bjork, she's pure bonkers... Bat for Lashes, saw her at Bestival last year and very enjoyable it was... Would also like to see the young pony club - anyone influenced by Grace Jones has to be worth a peek in my book...

I deserve to win the Bjork tickets because I am KING. I would most like to see SCREAM CLUB in San Fran baby or NY as my daughter is giving birth as we speak. Secondly im heading to Berlin in the Fall to see Rhythm King And Her Friends then on to Chicks On SpEed in Munich. My reason for all three are as follows: My heart kicks to their beats. Yeah.

Bat for Lashes because i missed Nastasha & the girls at Glastonbury, she brough magic back to my music & the Mighty Boosh because they seam to be the only comedians/writers who dont take the mick out of others, only themselfs. Thats tallent!

My 3 most exciting are:- 1) Winter Festival Concert - held in trafalgar square with REALLY famous Russian artists that are unknown here. Foreign music sadly seems underappreciated in UK 2) DirtySweet - not sure what their like, but new music is always exciting 3) Bloc Party - not afraid to slip through musical genres. They can do no wrong. SOOO humble & nice to excited fans like me ^_^

Newton Faulkner because im really enjoying his pretty unique folk-indie style. José Gonzalez is apparently a fantastic love act and finally, Foo Fighters as i've missed them every other time!!

Hi there, I would love to see Bjork as she is one of my favourite artists since the release of her first album. I am also looking forward to hear Bruce Springsteen's great voice live this year. I do not know the Foo Fighters very well so far but the songs I've heard made me curious and I want more...

To early in the year to be completely sure but My bloody Valentine, Radiohead and Morrissey. Also the sonics first ever gig in Europe and Bjork hopefully. If I don't win then I guess it's ebay to be ripped off by the touts.

Three gigs I'm most looking forward to this year are: - First and foremost, Radiohead. Since I was a young teenager they've been my favourite band and I haven't see them for a few years. They hold an extra special place in my heart as through love of thier music I met my now husband. - Band of Horses. Not a band I was very familiar with before, then I heard "No One's Gonna Love You" on an Indie radio station based in Scandinavia. Fell in love with song and then the entire second album. - PJ Harvey. She's AMAZING and always will be. Only if I can wrangle a ticket somehow..

The three gigs I am so far looking forward to most this year are Billie the Vision and the Dancers, Tegan and Sara and Islands. Billie the Vision and the Dancers are a scandinavian (Swedish) twee pop-esque band who are set to get bigger and bigger, they are supporting a chap named Seasick Steve who plays what I have heard described as "hobo blues". BTV&TD are a veritable entourage of talented young people, whose lyrics and melodies are touching and humourous, like many other tweepop bands, dealing with dark, sensitive issues in a lighthearted way with catchy hooks and handclaps. Tegan and Sara are girly, introverted indie, and I'm looking forward to seeing them live finally, as I have missed a few of their shows already. Despite their talents and great songs, this is a nod to the angsty teenage girl still residing within me. Finally Islands, who I think are probably one of my favourite finds of 2007- "Don't Call Me Whitney, Bobby" and "Rough Gem" are two fantastic, danceable, sing-along songs which are know are just going to get me going when I see them live.

Well, Portishead Portishead Portishead! Hoping like fury that they tour the new album (due out in march people) just because they are one of the most amazing bands ever. Can't wait for Radiohead, always an amazing event. And (presuming I get my filthy mitts on them) I would be bursting at the seams to see Bjork

The three gigs I am most looking forward to in 2008 are Radiohead, Foals and Glassjaw. Radiohead are a band who just seem to get better as they progress. Now with giving away their album for whatever the fan wants, They're playing a outdoor tour guranteed to be the most anticipated gig for Thom Yorke and co. I am seeing Foals at the Astoria. Foals aren't going to be playing anything as small as the Astoria again. Critics are viewing them as a new Bloc Party and I gurantee you will you have heard of them if you love new music. Glassjaw differ a lot from the other two, and their unique brand of angry post-hardcore influenced just about everything and everyone who class themselves as hardcore.

The three gigs i am filled with pure exitement about in 2008 kicks off with a dose of Morrissey at the london roundhouse which i do believe will be truly epic as a homecoming and as a first timer in the morrissey concert stakes i have high hopes and i am sure i will not be disappointed. The second is that cockney princess kate nash whom i am seeing at the manchester apollo. This is personally a very relevent gig to go to as my sister is the spitting image of her and can do one hell of an impression .Also foals which are one hell of a sensation for me at the minute . Wow

I'm looking forward to satisfying my guilty pop music pleasures and seeing lots of classics 90s ladies this year. Firstly Spice Girls, who I went to see on their first tour when I was 10, with my Mum! Secondly Kylie. In there words of the lady herself, Wow wow wow! And finally hopefully Bjork! Who I never managed to see in the 90s!

I can't wait for Seasick Steve at the ABC in Glasvegas later this month. i saw him last summer at Connect, and he blew me away. kind of caught me unawares. who knew i was such a fan of 3-string guitar, hobo-blues? also, the ABC is a great venue. they have an impressive glitterball. I can't wait for Bjork either. my, my, is there really ANYTHING on the planet even remotely like her? she's made of a mad energy that continually fascinates me. i think calling her a merely a musician doesn't really do her creativity any justice. the Apollo rocks as a venue, too. the third gig, i'm looking forward to? hmmm, its hard to choose. i guess i'll say Nouvelle Vague. i've not seen them before. i find them aurally charming and so i hope that the live/visual thing will leave me suitably impressed. this is at the Queens Hall which is kind of sedate, (i have it on good authority that Megadeth played there in the 80's and everyone was made to sit through the entire gig. can you imnagine?!). let's see how that works out for me.

I just found out Im expecting! So my babies musical education starts soon- within a few months he/she will be able to hear everything going on around me. The first band Im looking forward to is Bruce Springsteen ( I bought tickets secretly for my husband- hes a huge fan, cant wait to see his face when I show them to him!) Secondly, Radiohead which doesnt require much of an explanation! Also they're playing at Victoria Park in the summer. What could be more beautiful than Radiohead, playing in the park in the summer? And lastly Bjork would be unreal. The best female atrist by far!

Can't wait for Radiohead in Manchester, I've seen them many times and their shows are always awe-inspiring. Sparks in Islington will be incredible--they're unique! And Bjork live is an amazing experience; I was lucky enough to see her at Glastonbury '07 and I'm desperate to see her again!

My most exciting three gigs in 2008 have got to be RADIOHEAD at the Manchester Cricket Ground (coz the In Rainbows material is some of their best since OK Computer!), BON JOVI (coz I’m gonna score a sack-load of brownie points for accompanying my girlfriend there when they play in Southampton), and definitely BJORK (coz I love every album since her Sugarcube days and to see her live would be a defining moment!). xxx

I'm looking forward to Buena Vista Social Club playing in Sheffield in May - there's only a few of the original line up left but it'll still be awesome! The infamous album really inspired me years ago when I first heard it, and still does now. Also am looking forward to the Mars Volta in March - I've seen them once before and it was mesmerising.

Radiohead at Victoria Park this summer as I saw them in 2006 at the Hammersmith Apollo and they were mesmerising! Neil Young as I've never seen him live and it's a dream come true and Bjork of course if I win these tickets, I've tried to see her 4 times unsuccessfully so that would be another dream come true if I got to see her finally! Also can't wait for Glastonbury 2008!! xxx

The Dillinger Escape Plan- because they can make even the most disjointed screeching and blastbeats into something melodic. Smashing Pumpkins- Are they still good? Who knows, I don't. I'd like to know... Boxcutter- Cos he makes dubstep complicated but not difficult.

Bjork of course for her amazing natural brilliance, the return of Michael Jackson and his promised live shows which are guaranteed to be amazing, and the awaited Alanis Morissette return with her incredible live performances. All three will be guaranteed brilliance !!!

The Kissaway Trail. I love the album, which is apparently nothing on their live show. Looking forward to that. Final Fantasy. He can hold an audience with just a violin and a loop pedal and arranged the strings on Arcade Fire's funeral (my favourite record) and Radiohead. Well it's radiohead. They pushed boundaries with Kid A (second favourite record) and remained hugely succesful. And Bjork....if you guys help me out.

My three gigs that i'm really pumping for in 2008 are Gomez, Radiohead and Death Cab For Cutie. I haven't seen Gomez since 2004 and am gaging to see em again, as for Radiohead, well its been ten years of wishing, but this year i'll seem the best band playing, and Death Cab will be brilliant.

Three gigs I'm looking forward to are, 1. Big Day Out in Australia - luckily my holiday here has managed to overlap and I get to see Rage Against the Machine who I thought I'd never get to see, 2. Radiohead - after being so disappointed missing out on tickets last year, and 3. The Patty Winters Show, an upcoming London band.

Cant physically wait to see Radiohead this year; saw them at Glastonbury 2003 and they blew me away! Im writing my Dissertation on Glastonbury festival, so that would be the mother of all gigs, as ive been writing about it for what seems like an eternity! Last but by no means least, the queen bee that is Bjork if i won, as i couldnt get to Glastonbury last year to see her! xx

Managed to get Radiohead tickets, so yup, they are up there in my most anticipated gig. Secondly, it would probably be the Bays, small band that really kick ass. And last but not least, obviously it has to be Lady Bjork. I saw her in Paris last year, and even though the airline lost my all my luggage and I had no clothes, toiletries, make up and hardly any money, she made it all worth it! Please please please give me tickets to see her again, this time in fresh clothes!

The gigs I'm most looking forward to in 2008 are; 1; POLYSICS!! because they are one of my favourite bands but they rarely ever tour in the UK and i've been meaning to see them, they look like such such a great band to see live and the energy that Hiro has is bound to give a great show. 2; Wishbone Ash! because I have a weakness for prog and Wishbone Ash are one of my favourites. Even though most of the original members are depleted and all that is left of the original line up is Andy Powell I still think it would be great to hear my favourite tracks live and just seeing the creative genius Andy Powell powell will be enough to compensate for the loss. 3; BJORK! because she has been around for a long time and one of mine and my family's favourite artists i was bought up listening to Debut and Vespertine, if i can't ever think of what to listen to I know I can put on Debut and it will be a winner. Bjork is definately on my hit-list for seeing live.

1. Bjork, obviously....but also because she was so awesome at Glastonbury, i just have to see her again! 2. Hot Chip - because they are toe tapping geniuses, and they are coming to my hometown. Woohoo! 3. Fourtet at the next ATP party....because they have always been top of my 'want to see list' and i love the ATP parties!

The 3 gigs i'm most looking forward to are: 1. Hot Chip - I love their kooky image and the electronic sound they create. 2. JUSTICE - They have such an immense electro sound, reminiscent of Daft Punk who are one of my favourite bands. 3. Portishead - This is not an official gig, but more like wishful thinking. If Portishead tour this year I will definately be going. It would be a dream come true...

3 gigs (so far) for 2008 are: James - April 08 - One of the best UK bands (and my personal favourite) are back and going on tour - it's a "must be there" for me... Kylie - July 08 - she rocks and always puts on a good show. Never disappoints.... Chemical Brothers - if you have ever been to one of their gigs you'll understand why it's on the list - if not - get yourself to the Olympia in August and see for yourself
Posted on January 17, 2008 11:25 AM

Bradley
1. Kylie - this will fill the gap that Madonna will leave for not touring this year... with her fun pop madness and great visuals! She is no artist but she's fantastic for what she is and puts on a fun and exciting show. 2. Goldfrapp - These guys are touring their new album Seventh Tree in the US and will no doubt come to the UK. The album is amazing. I have no words to describe it.... and their live performances are almost more superior to their studio recordings. Alison's voice is like honey! 3. Bjork of course! I have all her live dvds and live recordings and it would be an absolute dream to finally see her live! And this year we can... to be part of this massive world tour is so exciting!

The 3 gigs I am most looking forward to are: Hot Chip who have an amazing sound and I'm sure would have a great atmosphere live; Gogol Bordello- I've missed seeing them live twice due to exams, but I really want to experience their awesome two albums live complete with what I've heard is a stunning performance. The third gig I would love to see is Bjork, whose music never fails to make me happy. Thanks!

at a days notice i was looking forward to the radiohead suprise performance on brick lane. with thom yorke being one of my all time heros and it being a scenario i have dreamt of happening since i can remember, but as it goes i couldnt get there. am looking forward to them playing in the summer and have got my tickets, just a shame that they only seem to be playing large venues nowadays. i feel really sorry for anyone who hasnt seen them at a small show. there is something magical about them. and thirdly, so looking forward to underworld. controversial i know, but the last time i saw them during the beaucoup fish times was just wonderful. such atmosphere and a really good feeling to teh whole thing. will be hoping that the crowd is as into it as they were before.

When MBV and Smashing Pumpkins split up I never thought I'd get a chance to see them live, but thank god fro reunions!! As for Bjork, i saw her at a festival last year and it was AMAZING, but I'd love to see her again in an indoor venue!

im most looking forward to seeing RADIOHEAD because i think although they have been together for over 15 years they are still the best band in the world by a long shot. im also looking forward to MY BLOODY VALENTINE because i have wanted to see them for years and years and never dreamed that they would re-form. the last band i am looking forward to seeing is ENABLERS a post rock band from america who have a small fan base over here even though they deserve a much bigger one. their gigs are intense and they are one of the most interesting bands ive been live in a very long time.

Most looking forward to My Bloody Valentine - do I need to say anything other than they are brilliant and it's probably my only chance to see them. Bjork - she can make you feel any emotion, and I would do anything to see her. She is talent. Portishead - I have waited a while to see them, I'd better make it, they grab you. I moved 12000 miles away from home to see these shows and more this year. That's how much I'm looking forward to them haha.

I can't wait to see The Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure (though I don't have enough money for the tickets sadly so not sure about that yet :( *cry*) and best of all BJORK! I have been a fan for ages but have never actually managed to see her! My boyfriend called me while she was on at Roskilde festival the other year so I could hear her and I almost died of jealousy! Hopefully this year will be THE year I will finally see her! *fingers and toes crossed*

well Radiohead because they're the best band in the world and I absolutely love the latest album, all the free online things they are doing. Then Foo Fighters because I can't wait to see another band that I love playing there after Muse played their best gig ever. Golgol Bordello, because i missed them at last years Oxygen Festival. U.N.K.L.E. at Brixton because i've only seen Lavelle on his own never the live set. Radiohead, because i tried in vain to get into their secret gig last week without the dedication to stand for 10 hours.

The three gigs I would love to see this year are The Smashing Pumpkins- because I've never had an opportunity to see them before, Nine inch nails- if and when they tour next and Bat for lashes if I can manage it. Seeing Bjork though would be amazing, a once in a life time opportunity.

There are four massive musical influences in my life. Smashing Pumpkins, psychedelic rocket rock that just leaves your mouth ajar - gonna see those guyz @ the O2 in Febuary. Queens of the Stone Age, grinding desert riffs you just can't help but tap your foot to - I'll be there in March @ the Newcastle Acadamy. Radiohead, chameleonic melancholic electro superband - roll on June. Just the one missing for a full house, Bjork - the first and favorite, legendary mavrick musical virtuoso & one woman multi-genre. Curse my limited student funds, coz to see her live....now that would be a good year

If I could see anyone it would be Bjork, Radiohead and Queens of the Stoneage because they are the only musicians I wouldnt mind standing around for 2 hours plus being mesmerized by their outstanding lyrics and amazing musical capabilities. To me its all about conscious music, which is something these three artists have always had.

Hi! Thanks for opening up an opportunity for us to win tickets to see Bjork as I'm a great fan of her and she is absolutely talented and inspiring and to experience her fantastic show will be a wonderful thing for me :) Beside Bjork, I'm also looking forward for our beautiful treasure, Kylie Minogue as she is absolutely amazing, inspiring and wonderful. Spice Girls gig will be the next on my list because I always love them and never got any chance to see them on stage or in real life person before they separated for a while and now that they are back together, I will never want to miss a chance to see them. Given this chance to win tickets, thanks to you, will be a great and wonderful thing for me and also a suprise treat for my best buddy. Thank you again :)

Its quite straight forward really. Portishead (I was too young when they last toured in the UK and cant wait for the new album), Alison Krauss & Robert Plant (Two heros of mine together - who would've ever guessed it) and Bjork (My all time favorite female artist, what more can you say). If my third choice must be someone other than the great woan herself then it would have to be Mighty Boosh (Got tickets to Bournemouth - I had'nt discovered them when they last toured so this will be a highlight of 2008)

Bjork is the big one for me as she was just incredible the first time I saw her live far too many years ago to think of. Achieved a teenage dream to see Bauhaus recently, so Bjork is the only other one that I really would sell a kidney for! Also keen to see VAST in April and would love to see Nine Inch Nails in the US later in the year.

I am so looking forward to see the following artists: Radiohead, Bjork and Portishead. Why? Because Radiohead marked the apex of my adolescence and the step they took on music industry with In Rainbow was pure genius. Bjork because she is an angelical elf whose world is peopled with quirky childhood recollection; and Portishead because, come on, they used to be among the best bands ever: they invented Bristol trip hop and inspired billions of artists!

Lightspeed Champion- Simply, 2008 will be the year of Lightspeed. A sweet, original sound that captured my heart straight away. The Cure- The best band to ever exist...EVER. Wowed me as a young teen and will continue to do so forever. Plus, their live sets are outstanding. Gary Numan- Guilty pleasure anyone? Admittedly, Mr Numan would be pushed aside if i could afford tickets for Bjork. She leaves me inspired.

I am most looking forward to Radiohead because I think they're the best band in the world. I saw them play once before and they're excellent live - cannot wait! I'm also looking forward to seeing Portishead live in April because I haven't seen them before and I love their unique sound. If I had tickets to see Bjork I would be the happiest person in the world because she is an inspirational musician and performer, I want to be her! And I haven't seen her live before so would probably cry (for joy, obviously) if I got the chance to see her...

1. Portishead - legendary band touring for the first time in 10 years (with a their first new album in 11 years) 2. Goldfrapp - can't wait to see how they will play their new "folk" material (full orchestra maybe?) 3. Madonna - rumored half-centenary tour (and she always puts out a great show)

1/Radiohead at Victoria Park in June (need i say more?) - okay, coz I'll be going with one of my best mates who's a legend and got me the gig tix as a bday gift, it'll be the height of summer, and well, coz it's radiohead...nuffsaid. 2/Leonard Cohen who is 'rumoured to be touring europe for the first time in 15yrs' this year - i will swim the channel if i have to 3/Bjork coz it should be a birth right that everyone gets to see her play live and i never have...:(

Bjork at Plymouth Pavilions. Wow, a world class act coming to the Westcountry - hurrah?! She's the most innovative music-maker in the business! I had tickets to see her in 1994 but sadly had to let them go due to university exams - hardly rock n' roll - and have been regretting it ever since! Feist at the Royal Albert. An exquisite voice in sumptuous surroundings! Radiohead in Victoria Park. I am just willing them to bring back the brilliant and arresting tunes that make them the UK's best band - ever?! Mabel

My three gigs im going to this year are The bands that made me the moody teenager i was and bring the most memorys Especially Bjork as i went to see her at the tender age of 13. I'm probably most looking to Bruce Springsteen at the Emirates Stadium. I missed the chance to see him at the O2 so catching the Emirates show will be fantastic. Then maybe Portishead at Brixton because their music is so deep and beautiful (plus they never seemingly tour!) Finally The Cure at Wembley arena because their music is so epic; whilst Disintegration is probably my favourite album of all time.
Posted on January 28, 2008 1:31 PM

This year - Bjork (never had the chance before and the lady's a legend) Gogol Bordello (the best and maddest gig atmosphere ever) Liza Minnelli (because it would be the most surreal evening ever!)
Posted on January 28, 2008 4:35 PM

I am going to see Sia, because she's such a funny little minx with a great pair of lungs, and her shows are just a blast; Bjork obviously, been a big fan for years and would love to see her live; also Sinead O connor - I love my female artists!

I am most looking forward to Coachella Festival in Palm Springs, California (does it count as a gig???) as I saw Bjork there last year and she was AMAZING and I'd love to see her again. Radiohead in London is also top on the list of gigs to look forward to and finally I'm going to say Bat for Lashes. I discovered her only this weekend and loved her CD and think she'll be interesting to see live.

Radiohead because I 'go to sleep' and have a 'nice dream' that 'All I need' to 'sail to the moon' is 'just' to be 'optimistic' and seeing radiohead will make me 'fitter happier'. Gogol Bordello because it is 'Not a crime' to love 'immigrant punk' and I might even 'start wearing purple' because I love the 'ultimate forces of victory'. Bjork becuase 'All is full of love' and the 'pleasure is all mine' with Bjorks ethereal voice theres no 'possibly maybe' she is 'my favourite thing'.

The three gigs I'm looking forward to most in 2008 are: 1) F*ck Buttons in Brighton in a couple of weeks, because they not only manage to have the best name in modern music, but are getting better, faster, than anyone else as well. What do they sound like? Like tombstoning in space. 2) Yelle, in London, because I don't know what she's saying, but I like what it does to my hips and ass. 3) Oh and so much more! The End of the Road Festival? Maybe Sonar in Barcelona? And if those don't count as a gig, then I'll go with Bjork, in London, because I AM FATED TO WIN THESE TICKETS. Thank you.

Bjork has always been someone I wanted to see live so I will be ecstatic to see her this year! (Last time I had tickets in Cape Town, her show was cancelled and I was left in a depression!). Secondly I would love to see The Cure as have been a fan for years. Finally I'd be very happy to see the Smashing Pumpkins -good to see them together and touring!

Radiohead- I was addicted to Radiohead for 6 months solid 5 years ago. I refused to listen to anything else. And now, for the first time ever, I'll get to see them play :) Portishead- They expanded my world. Without their music I wouldn't have discovered the music that has helped make me the person I am today. This is also the first time I will see them play :) Ween- Another first time for me. I've been hooked on Chocolate & Cheese since the first listen. Weird and wonderful, Dean and Gene Ween will have me pushing the little daisies

I am looking forward to the concert of Bjork because she is an important link between me and a special person I'd take with me... the second concert would be our concert, talking place on the train after Bjork gets off the stage. finally the third one would be unofficial under-shower tour gig. As I heard, the pipes do not get corroded if you sing taking shower.

I am most looking forward to Radiohead in June at Victoria Park - they are my extraspecially favourite band and I love outdoor concerts. I am also equally eagerly anticipating seeing the Cure, who are just one of those bands who come alive onstage. I am still searching for the final concert to make 2007 truly stellar... Please make it Bjork!

1. Bjork. This woman is just incredible! With a voice like that and the reviews I've heard about her live performances, I just have to see her perform 2. Smashing Pumpkins. Having never seen them live before, I think I just have to see this legendard band in action. 3. Chimaira. They're playing at the Bierkeller in Bristol. I was amazed when I saw this. I've seen them multiple times before and they put on an incredible show. To see them in such an intimate venue will be mind blowing

Dj Shadow and Cut Chemist at the Roundhouse in their only UK gig for the Hard Sell tour. This is what turntablism is all about. Public Enemy are coming to Brixton, that is definitely a hotly anticipated gig! And the third? Not so much a gig, but DMZ at Mass on the 1st of March. A dubstep line up to die for.

Goldfrapp - March - This gig is at a cosy venue The Union Chapel and will be such a great atmosphere I imagine. Alison is such an star performer and I love her dancers and costumes too. She'e even inspired Madonna. Roisin Murphy - March - It will be my first gig at the new Roundhouse which is a great new venue. Roisin has amazing costume changes and puts so much into her performances. I bought standing tickets so i can dance! Superthriller - Shunt Vaults - Another amazing venue and Superthriller are a fabulous funk band that throw theatre into every performance. This included two of the band stripping naked one night, and another night graffiti spraying lead singer Ben during one song. These guys are great great fun and get everyone dancing. You never quite know what's coming next! I would have added Bjork but I don't have a ticket.....yet ;-)

Apart from Björk, I'm looking forward to seeing the return of My Bloody Valentine, hopefully it'll be everything that we want it to be. Also, Nick Cave will be leaving me with my ears ringing again, and I'd rather like to see Portishead come back, they've been away for far too long.

Bjork obviously as she's totally crazy and seldom tours. Portishead - can't believe they're back. 'Dummy' still sounds as good as it did when it was released and The Infadels. They're smokin'!

I'm going to take my mum to see Cliff Richard this year, so looking forward to that to see the smile on her face...also Goldfrapp, if they tour as I'm loving their new sound, Alison has such an amazing voice live, much better than on CD! And the incredible Bjork, if I manage to get hold of the elusive tickets. I've loved her for years but never seen her live. Must figure out feeds etc as I keep missing tickets for gigs....such a technophobe! Sigh. =)

Portishead's return is both unexpected and fantastic. After seeing Bjork last year I would love to go again!! And, lastly, the live reutrn of Radiohead, especially after the triumph that was In Rainbows, will make 25th of June a glorious day.

The Young Knives - they are the cheekiest, cleverest and most dashing young men in town Portishead - they continue to amaze me and suck me in with their hypnotic melodies Bjork - There's only one Bjork and she's a beauty. Peerless, beautiful music. My ears love her

I'm most looking forward to seeing Goldfrapp as the new album is amazing and I want to see how the new tracks fit in alongside the old ones at a live gig. Also looking forward to the Long Blondes as I haven't seen them before and Kate Jackson is such an amazing frontwoman. Cat Power should be amazing as well, her voice is really distinctive and one of my favourite artists.
