Free gigs are always great, especially when you get to see four bands in one night.
Last night's recording of the Album Chart Show - although involving horrendous amounts of false applauding for television reasons - was a damn good way to start off yet another gig-filled week.
First to take to the stage, (oh, are they actually on now? I thought we were just applauding again) were the almighty Supergrass. I dont think I've thought about Supergrass since Alright. They fell off my radar during the days of getting way too wrapped up in a Libertine-fuelled dream.
After last night's performance, which included their new song, Bad Blood - a funky, bass-thick track - I realized it was time to delve back into my record collection and pump out some sun-hitting-sky action.
Roisin Murphy, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, (she was wearing a weird but wonderful red cloak with hood) was next to strut her stuff.
Her music is probably suited to a specific taste - lots of slurring vocals over a catlogue of bang-bang Electro beats - but visually, she is pretty fun to watch. Her outfit - tight blue dress and elbow high gloves - worked well against the backdrop of glittering backing dancers and thumping beats.

As We Are Scientists wondered onto the stage, (all dressed in cheque shirts the new cardigan apparently) it was clear that a good smattering of people at the Koko were there for the Brooklyn based Indie band.
We Are Scientists put on a clean set for their fans, singing about doors being open and all that kind of stuff.
Finally, after what felt like four days of clapping, The Kills took to the stage with a backstage audience of Noel Fielding (wearing a poncho!) and girlfriend, Dee Plume.
The Kills are possibly one if the coolest bands around not only do they sound cool, but they look f****** cool too. Jamie Hince, boyfriend of Kate Moss (and eerily resembling a cleaner and better looking Pete Doherty) knows damn well how to manipulate his guitar, producing a dark and dirty sound. Alison Mosshart, the other half of The Kills, omitted a murky and moody Rock girl vibe, that left everyone wanting more as she sulked her way through URA FEVER.
