This is actually an EP of acoustic ballads from this Luton based artist of St Lucian parentage. The production is stripped to the bone and the vocals are understated, but resemble an African influenced Cat Stevens. The songs are pretty good but not overly original, with “Lonesome Track” being the most commercial if it had some production work done. “My Own Damned Time” reminded me of some old Neil Young material, but was, in fact, very UK sourced and could have been used by any opposition politician in the last local elections. Pleasant enough, but nothing exceptional here.
