Foals
Red Socks Pugie
Review by Zarina Raja
The Foals are one of the only Indie bands around at the moment that have managed to, well, not be s***.
With an infuriating large amount of boy bands in skinny jeans and floppy fringes, it is hard to find a diamond amid the rough. The Foals are certainly diamond like their music glints through the Indie scene and they have an admirable rough edge that sets them miles apart from the likes of The Wombats, The Enemy, The Fratellis you get my drift.
Red Sox Pugie, the Foals new single, is a clattering and tinny track. It is a circular song that makes you feel like youre spinning round in the dark, careless of where the night may take you. It hasnt quite got that shattering Rock edge that Cassius adheres to, but it is certainly as catchy.
Another great song from the Foals, a band that are teetering on the brink of wide mainstream success.
