There are two versions on this single, one is the obligatory radio edit and the other an album version. Radio stations will probably give the spit-polished edit tons of airplay, which probably says more about the state of mainstream radio, these days, than it does about Keane.
Taken from the new album Perfect Symmetry, Lovers Are Losing is, according to the press release, a rallying call to all the “lovers of humanity.” If this is the case, humanity is in deeper s*** than we thought.
“I dreamed I was drowning in the river Thames,” Tom begins. Substitute “droning” for drowning and you get the picture.
In a nut: Depressingly ordinary.
